Hide *.modd files.

I use MS 365. I use OneDrive.

I use a Sony s6000 camera. I use Sony PlayMemories Home software to import my photos and videos from my camera to my hard drive.

I have transferred photos and videos from my hard drive to OneDrive.

PlayMemories Home creates *.modd files for the imported photos and videos.

"A file with the MODD file extension is a Sony Video Analysis file, created by some Sony camcorders. They're used by the Sony's PlayMemories Home (PMH) program's Video Analysis feature to manage the files once they've been imported to a computer, MODD files store things like GPS information, time and date, ratings, comments, labels, thumbnail images, and other details," per Lifewire at https://www.lifewire.com/modd-file-2622001.

Windows 10 File Explorer hides files with the .modd extension. However, OneDrive does not hide files with the .modd extension.

My questions, "Is it possible to hide files with .modd extensions in OneDrive? If so, how?"

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Hello Pixelator,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I was wondering are you trying to hide *.modd files in the OneDrive web side?

If I understand correctly, according to your thought, we have also tested, but currently you can only hide your files in the OneDrive app, and the OneDrive web side may not be able to do this for you.

But it's a good suggestion, we created a feedback based on your idea, hope you can vote. The higher the number of votes, the easier it is to draw attention to this matter from the Microsoft team(note: click This link requires login to vote). You can let your family and friends also vote on this, it may be solved later.

Also, if you don't want others to see your *.modd files, then you can move files that are already in your OneDrive to your Personal Vault. Personal Vault is a protected area in OneDrive where you can store your most important or sensitive files and photos without sacrificing the convenience of anywhere access.

    1. In your OneDrive, select the Personal Vault folder.
    2. If you're prompted, sign in with your selected identity verification method. For example, select Text and follow the instructions to send yourself a text message on your phone.
    3. Select Move from.
    4. Select the files you want to move into Personal Vault, and then select Move items (or drag the items to your open Personal Vault).

You can refer to this article for more detail information.

Thank you for your understanding, and for your tremendous contribution to improving Microsoft's products.

    Sincerely,
