What does "Add Accoount" in OneDrive mean - what does it get you?

I am confused as to the real meaning, purpose of the "Add an Account" in the OneDriive Accoount Settings - what does it do?

This is different from signing out and logging into a different onedrive account, isn't it.

I am afraid to Add an Account (on either computer)- because I don't want my computer start syncing with the newly added account. It wouldn't do that, or would it.

Still on the track of trying to figure out if I can get my 2nd computer syncing its files with the onedrive account existing on my 1st computer, but have the files from the 2nd computer still remaining seperate from the files from the 1st computer.

Still very confused. (Windows 10 & 365 subscriber, 2 computers, 2 seperate onedrive MS accounte)

    Hello roninrr2 ,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

That option is to add a separate account to the same onedrive app.

One drive app can have a combination of a business and personal account and/or a combination of student and personal account though two personal accounts are not yet allowed.

You won't be able to add your second account if you have a 365 personal or family subscription.
