Change centimeters to inches (Word for Windows)

Hello,

I am an Office 365 user using Word Online. I reside in Canada, and I would like all measurements to be expressed in inches, not centimetres. Currently, the ruler uses inches, but measurements like indents and page size use centimetres.

Details:

OS: Windows 7

Version of Word on PC: Windows 2013 (newer versions not compatible with Windows 7)

Normally, the unit of measurement that you select at File > Options > Advanced ("Show measurements in units of") will apply to the ruler as well.

If the ruler measurements are still incorrect, see http://www.gmayor.com/Character_Units.htm.

Type in the measurement you prefer, like this:

    2.54cm

It will set the correct amount, though it will convert to and display the imperial measurement.
