Can't delete blank space in word doc

I am using the 2019 version of Microsoft Office Word.

I have a Word doc where I want to move text from one page up to the top because the top has at least a few inches of blank space at the top. This blank space cannot be typed into and there are no page breaks in it. See below

Whenever I just try to backspace it up to the top, it just jumps to the page above it automatically. See below:

I tried "keep lines together" and that did nothing. I currently have nothing checked in the paragraph box. See below

How do I fix this?

The problem is that the "Vertical alignment" is set to "Center." In the Page Setup dialog box, change the option to "Top" and make sure that "Apply to" is set to "Whole document and click OK.

To display the dialog box, you can double-click the vertical ruler.

    Hey Stefan,

Thanks for your reply. Here is the doc: https://1drv.ms/w/s!AvsnMJ8AKSpoi3aB6UzGu7nb73EG?e=LMz5Pg The issue is at the end of page 6 and start of page 7.

Do you see this on every page? In that case, see if the content is being pushed down the page by an object which is anchored to the page header.

If you can't get it sorted, consider sharing a sample document with the forum. You can upload the sample to (say) OneDrive or Dropbox and post a share link here.

    Hi Bergeyke,

Greetings for the day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Incase if you have specific space occupied at the beginning of each page, please verify that any header has been added as template.

You can verify headers by selecting "Insert" tab in menu and navigate into "Headers" and select "Edit headers"

If you feel header is not required for your word file, please look into this link to remove the headers.

Hope this information helps. Please feel free to get back if you have any questions.

    Thank you!
