Trouble Accessing a Shared Excel Doc

I am having trouble accessing a shared Excel file that a client is sharing via OneDrive. I confirmed with the document owner that the sharing settings are set to "Anyone with the link can view or edit," yet I still cannot access the file. I get an error that says "This site can't be reached."

At first I thought it was a corporate network issue since I am trying to access it from a work computer, but a colleague of mine (also on the network) was able to access and edit the document just fine.

I even tried logging in to the Microsoft account that the document was created under and accessing the file that way, and I am STILL getting the same error message.

Can someone help me troubleshoot?

    Hello CMCA Admin,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

According to your description, you mean that a colleague who is in the same network environment as you can open and edit the shared Excel document normally, right?

You also said in the description that even if you log in to the Microsoft account that created this document, and then open the link, the error still displays, so the person who originally created this document will encounter the same problem as you when opening this document through the link?

In view of your current situation, it is recommended that you try the following methods, and then see if you can open the shared file normally.

    1. Please try to open your web browser in InPrivate window. Then copy the shared Excel document link into it.
    2. Please try to clear the browser cache and make sure that they also select the Cookies and website data option.
    3. Please try to use another web browser like Edge.

We have to go through a series of steps to find the real cause of the problem. If you still have problems, please let me know and I will continue to help you with the problem.

    Sincere greetings
