Why can't I save my excel as a PDF file in landscape mode on MacBook Pro?

Hi there,

I have the latest update of Excel software, running on my MacBook Pro M1 updated to the latest version. In both the page setup and orientation I have changed the layout to landscape. Somehow when I save my sheet or selection as a PDF it automatically saves the file as a portrait PDF and then my excel sheets jump to portrait mode as well. Any help would greatly be appreciated. This use to work perfectly in the past on the same Macbook laptop, but lately it doesn't want to save my PDF file in landscape.

Thank you!

I have a interim fix. All you need to do is go to print and then save as a PDF from the print menu instead of printing. It then thankfully saves in landscape.

Even after installing Adobe Reader on my Mac, Clicking on File, gives me no option to select "Save as Adobe PDF"

Somehow Excel doesn't want to generate a landscape PDF.

Have got the same problem ever since updated Monterey. Excel 16.64 and Monterey 12.5.1. This is really annoying.

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out. My name is John and I’d be more than happy to help you with your query.

Please go to the page layout ribbon and select 'orientation. ' Choose a landscape. Then, from the file menu, choose 'Save as Adobe PDF.

    Best regards, John
