Microsoft Office/Word keeps deactivating

I bought my version of Microsoft Office 2019 Home and Business when I bought my PC about 2 years ago. Recently, when opening Microsoft apps like Word, Excel, etc., I would be unable to edit the file, saying my version of Microsoft Office has been deactivated. This has occurred three or four times in the past couple weeks alone. Restarting my computer somehow activates Microsoft Office again, which is good, but it is very annoying to interrupt my work with random deactivation of a product I have already paid for. How can I prevent this from happening again?

An Office repair may improve the situation, as aly_ali suggested. Have a look at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/repair-an-office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b.

I suspect that you need to contact Dell, though.

Office was included when I purchased my PC.

Even though I called the help line/activation center and activated my Office account, my Microsoft account says that I only purchased the product and still need to activate it.

Does the product listed in your account match the product which is actually installed?

You may have to contact the store that sold you the PC.

The message isn't an error message, but rather states that my product is deactivated in red across the top of my page and invites me to activate my product. When this message pops up, all of the icons are greyed out across my toolbar and I cannot edit my document (when using Word).

Prior to restarting my computer, the 'Product Information' page says the product's license is not activated. When I click on the button labelled 'activate product', another window pops up with my outlook email, but when I click to select/continue, the window disappears and does nothing. This occurs multiple times until I restart my computer.

What is the specific error message shown?

What is shown under "Product Information" at File > Account in Word?
