Hi,

Whenever I try to use a formula as simple as SUM in excel, the results show 0. This happens every time I copy the data from another source, so in order for it to work, I have to go and manually enter all the data.

I have tried:

Pasting the data as a value number. It doesn´t work.
Using a formula to change the format so it recognizes the numbers. It doesn't work.
Enabling " interactive calculation" from options. It doesn't work.

The only way it works is by manually entering all the numbers, which is really tiresome and time-consuming as well.

How can I avoid this from happening?

Thanks for the information but it's not what I'm looking for.
I need to get the result after I enter the formula, for example, if I select 2 cells and add the SUM formula, I need the result of that sum, but right now it shows 0, even though there is a result.

This must be an array formula,

Go to the cell, and press F2,

then HIT CTRL+SHFT+ENTER simultaneously.

lets try this

In Arrays formula if you go to function arguments, then it will show correct result but if they are not entered with CTRL+SHFT+ENTER, then they will either show zero or incorrect result.

You can drag or copy array formulas, and then it will work correctly

SUM skip text values, that's the reason.

Format the cells as General (or any number format you like) and re-enter the values.
