copy and paste not working (Mac OS)

Help. I can't copy a paragraph of text from Word and paste it here, or in an email! It is not pasting

the text I copied and reverts to old material copied days ago !

I am on a deadline and need to send urgent email and can not copy the simple paragraph

of text I need to send !

IS THERE ANY SUPPORT ??

    Actually it is definitely a Microsoft problem because when I opened the same file I wanted to copy from, in Pages, and copied the paragraph in Pages that I wanted to pasted into an email, it worked fine!

    Microsoft Word will not let me copy a paragraph in a Word file and paste it in an email...

    This is a new problem. It was working fine last week. And Microsoft updated Word this week,

    I have a 365 subscription by the way. Microsoft is always passing the buck, blaming its bugs

    on others. It's not the Apple OS because, as I said, when I opened the doc in Page and copied,

    it pasted fine in an email.

    Any other suggestions? Does this mean I have to start only using Pages ? Which I can not do

    because there are so many bugs when converting Pages files to Word...

    i have no clipboard manager or add ons ! and I have used Word for years and this only started happening this week.

    in fact, I UPDATED WORD this week. so Microsoft seems to be the problem ...

    I'm not sure what you mean by few months" but since the first of March there have been 5 updates to macOS Monterey. That's assuming you do have Monterey. The latest at the time is the standard but a different OS release can be specified by the user.

    As for your Office software it seems you are signed up as an Insider participant but there's no indication whether its to the Beta Channel or to the Current Channel Preview). Your recent update may have been either 16.64 or 16.65 depending on your level of participation.

    Knowing specific version information often is crucial when attempting to troubleshoot... especially when those attempting to assist have no opportunity for hands-on testing.

    You've also not indicated whether you've tried restarting. Although the additional info may be useful direct responses to suggestions offered are even more important. As an additional troubleshooting step please follow these instructions for starting up in Safe Mode **** & include the result in your reply.

    My operating system is fully up to date, my computer is only a few months old, and I have no add-ons installed.

    According to your description, we understand the situation is that you cannot copy and paste a paragraph of text from Word.

    We'd like to help you. Here are some suggestions, hope they can help.

    1.Reboot Mac, try to copy and paste again.

    2.Check if you can copy the whole content of the document and paste it into new document. If yes, try to copy the paragraph from new document, see if you can paste it.

    2.Try to upload the document to OneDrive Online, and then use Word Online to open it, see if you can copy and paste the paragraph in email.

    If copy and paste still doesn't work, we do understand the frustration and feel free sorry about it. We notice you are on a deadline and understand it's urgent to solve the issue.

    In this situation, we sincerely recommend you contact your Microsoft 365 administrator and follow steps in this article to create a support ticket from Microsoft 365 Admin Center, try to contact Online Support. The support team over there has higher permission than us, they can remotely help check the situation on your side and help you do investigation, try to help you copy and paste the paragraph. This would be the most efficient way in handling this case for you.
