Hi,

The following YouTube video shows how to create an automatic bibliography in Word using the Citations & Bibliography feature cited by Suzanne S. Barnhill above: Create an Automatic Bibliography in Microsoft Word

However, if you didn't use that feature and have already inserted your footnotes in a document, then I think you'd have to manually create a bibliography (or redo your footnotes using the above feature). The following blog provides a bit of guidance in that respect: Creating a Bibliography from Footnotes

If you have used Word's Citations & Bibliography feature to create your footnotes, then the bibliography can be created automatically from the information you've input for the footnotes.

Are you just wanting endnotes, or are you trying to create a bibliography?

    Hello Diego,

Thank you for posting to community forum.

I have carefully read through your and as I understand you need to generate a bibliography, in the proper order, from the footnote information.

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this within Word. One of the possible solutions is Macros, please check this article Footnotes object (Word) | Microsoft Docs

We understand the inconvenience and apologize for it, to address your concern we suggest you leave feedback, so the developer team pay attention to this and add this feature in future updates. How do I give feedback on Microsoft Office?

For this situation, you may backup your document and follow these steps to create a bibliography manually:

    1. Open the copy and convert all the footnotes to endnotes.
    2. Position the insertion pointer just before the first endnote. (The actual endnote text, not the reference in the main body of the document.)
    3. Scroll to the end of the endnotes, so you can see the last one on the screen.
    4. Hold down the Shift key as you click at the end of the last endnote. All the endnotes in the document should now be selected.
    5. Press Ctrl+C to copy the endnotes to the Clipboard.
    6. Open a new, blank document and paste (Ctrl+V) the endnotes to the new document. You now have a document that just has all the endnotes in it, and nothing else.
    7. Sort the paragraphs in the document alphabetically, format, and delete all the text and references you don't need in the bibliography.

We apologize if this reply doesn’t meet your requirement and appreciate your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Igor
