How Do I View 2 Worksheets Side By Side in Excel Mac?

Hi,

Excel Mac does not have the "View Side By Side" feature that Excel Windows does. Still, I figured I could use the Arrange All feature, but it is not working for me. I opened up a new window by selecting "New Window" in the View ribbon. This gave me two windows for the current workbook. I then put Window 1 on Sheet 1 and Window 2 on Sheet 2. After this, the Arrange All view was grayed out and I could not use it.

The only time I could use Arrange All was when both of the two windows were on the same worksheet, but it was useless then. All I received was one window on one side of the screen and a view of my desktop on the other.

Can someone please help me figure out what is going on here?

Thanks,

Steve

Make sure that the status of the Windows of active workbook checkbox is properly set.

    Dear Steve,

    Welcome to the forum here.

Based on the article, the Arrange feature should work.

Regarding "This gave me two windows for the current workbook. I then put Window 1 on Sheet 1 and Window 2 on Sheet 2. After this, the Arrange All view was grayed out and I could not use it.", could you upload some related screenshots for our confirmation?

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

Meanwhile, please check whether you are using the latest version number of the Excel for Mac application. If no, I suggest you update the version number, restart the Mac and then do a test again to see the result.

Moreover, check whether the issue occurs in a specific Excel file.

Thanks for your effort and time.

    Cliff
