I read somewhere that Microsoft will be enforcing the use of MFA for all the users.

How Microsoft is going to force MFA on the 30th of June? Does it mean user that are all setup will get disconnected and have to reset up the MFA or it only applies for new users?

    Hello SGA Admin

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I have checked if there is information about Microsoft enforcing MFA on June 30^th^ and I did not find such information. The information we have is the deprecation of Basic authentication in Exchange Online and you will be required to use Modern Authentication. Basic authentication will begin disabling effective October 1, 2022. In Office 365 Operated by 21Vianet, we will begin disabling Basic authentication on March 31, 2023. All other cloud environments are subject to the October 1, 2022 date. For more information on this please see Deprecation of Basic authentication in Exchange Online | Microsoft Docs.

We are looking forward to your reply. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Simbarashe | Microsoft Community Moderator

It was a response from a vendor.

Beginning June 30th, 2022, Microsoft will begin force-enabling Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for all tenants.

My concern is, how will this affect current users? Will they be disconnected and needs to reset them up again or it will only effect new users starting June 30?

Well, im not even sure if it is a valid Microsoft announcement.
