I want to make numbering in a table column from the top to the end and then continue numbering to the next column with the same pattern. How to do that. Thanks in advance.

Use a one column table in a document with the Page Setup for Newpaper style columns. The table and the numbers will then wrap from the bottom of one column to the top of the next column.

    Hi Shoron ,

I'm Mukesh and I will be happy to help you out with your question.

--Highlight the first column (only one column) and click the Numbering option in the Font group on the Home tab (on the Formatting toolbar in Word 2003). Word will number the items in columnar order.
Click the second column and click the Numbering option. Word will assign the same set of numbers to the second column.
-Right-click the number in the first row of the second column and choose Set Numbering Value.
-In the resulting dialog, click the Continue From Previous List option and then check the Advance Value option and enter the next number in the sequence. In this example, the last number in the previous column is 3, so enter 4, and click OK.
