How do I add One Drive storage to my kid's account under the Microsoft Family program?

When I try to sign in under her account, it says she needs to ask permission or add it another way but does not give any options. When I try to do it under my sign in, it's only opption is for my account and not mty kids account for one drive. SO, how do I add for my kids account or get her permission to add it from her account?

    Hi johnjust2,

I have the same issue, I spent too much time trying to solve this issue. Before I got heart attack or stroke, I gave up.

Unfortunately, the support team is not able to understand that we do not want to pay a full OneDrive subscription for our kids. We just want to buy some extra storage for them without office apps.

Anyway, there are competitive alternatives like Google One. If it's not important for Microsoft to keep the young ones as long-term clients, what can we do?

When my kid logs in and tries to buy more storage, there is no option given to ask for permission. it just says " you have to ask permission and find another way" . Literally that's the message that is given. So there is no email sent asking for permission like other things like trying ti acess a web site.

So how do I add storage from my kids account?/ This is very furstrating but seems like such a no brainer.

    thanks

As I stated in my initial question, there is no direction given for supportive permission. There is no option to ask for permission or send or request. It literally says you have to find another way with no other options given.

Yeah Im talking about an extra 10 bux per year, not 100. This should be a no brainer because in her account there is an option to add more storage only those links don't go anywhere you can actually buy the storage. Retarded if you ask me. Why is MS such a pain in the ****?

I assume you have purchased Microsoft 365 Family, not just Microsoft 365 Personal.

She needs her own Microsoft account, not just a local account. Add her account to the family on your account at account.microsoft.com/family.

Go to your Services and Subscriptions > Microsoft 365 Family > Manage > Share subscription.

Then on your PC go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Family and other users to create the account on the PC so that she has her own login credentials.

Your kid doesn't need to buy anything to get her own 1TB of cloud storage.
