Hello,

I am trying to add a fourth column to the footer:

The last column to be added is Page Number, which isn't a quick part. How do I show the page number on the same row as the quick parts?

The building blocks for footers are simply some shortcut patterns.

Edit your footer and put the tab settings where you want.

You can put your elements in a four-column table in the footer if you want. Once you have what you want, you can save it to the Footer gallery of building blocks for reuse.

A page number is a field that you can insert in a number of ways. The simplest is to press Alt+Shift+P.

Using Insert > Page Number > Bottom of Page will delete any existing footer, though.

Place the insertion point in the cell and press Alt+Shift+P.

    Charles,

Thanks for the tip about the table. I'm almost there, but how do I add the page number to the cell?
