Adding title to Excel sheet when printing/saving as PDF file

Hi,

I would like to add a title to my excel sheet when I am printing or saving the file as a PDF. I have noticed that earlier files have titles that you only get to see when you preview the sheet before printing or saving as a PDF (see first picture below).

However, when I have made similar sheets and tried to either print or save them as PDF's, the title is not included (see second picture below).

Is there a setting I am not aware off? How can I include a title like the first picture?

Kind regards,

Anna

    Hi Anna,

This is a setting you need to do in Excel as follows:

    1. Select page layout buttons tab.
    2. Click on Print Titles button.
    3. Select Header/Footer tab.
    4. From the header drop down list, there is a plenty of options, select the required like Sheet Name.
    5. Click OK.

Now when you print the sheet or save it as PDF, it will display the sheet name.

    Regards,

    Dear Anna,

Good day! Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

According to your description, there is a possible that the sheet has been added a header via Insert> Text> Header & Footer. In Normal view, the sheet won't display the header while when you try to print the sheet, you can see the header in the Print Preview. Also, you can open the old workbook and switch to the "Page Layout" view to reconfirm.
