Hello All,

I need to include two spaces between each sentence throughout my paper. In the new Microsoft 365 i cant find any way to automatically do this. I researched the topic and it seems like no one has provided a tutorial for the 365 version of this issue. It used to be an option in Microsoft 2019, but it seems its no longer an available pre-set. Can anyone help me figure out how to add two spaces at the of sentences in Microsoft 365?

You can specify that the grammar checker should verify that you have two spaces between sentences (and warn you when it encounters sentences where there are not two spaces). Go to File > Options > Proofing and click Settings next to the "Writing Style" option.

There is no option to enforce two spaces during typing, though.

As Stefan pointed out, there is no automatic way. If you turn on the option, though, your will be alerted to any sentence spacing that is only one space.

Note that two spaces after sentences is a hold-over from the days of the typewriter and monospaced fonts. It really is not appropriate with proportionally-spaced fonts.

Your school may be requiring this, but it is bad practice.

Is it possible that you meant to say:

"Go to File > Options > Proofing"

    ?
