Visio 2021 Standalone and Office 2016 OEM installation

We use Office 2016 with an OEM key installed on all our computers. A few of our users purchased Visio 2021 (MS GSA VISIO STD 2021 LTSC) but it cannot be installed due to the Office 2016 installation. Is there a way around this. All the computers are Windows 10, and both Office 2016 and Visio 2021 are the 64 bit versions.

    Thanks for the quick response. Here is a screen shot from our Office 2016 installation information - I don't see Click-To-Run in the description.

    We'd also love to help you, however, as we mentioned above concerning the information check, when you go to File, Office Account and see the 'About Outlook' don't click just take a screenshot as shown below.

    If I understand the situation, you installed on your computers Office 2016 with an OEM key and few of your users purchased Visio 2021 (MS GSA VISIO STD 2021 LTSC) but cannot be installed due to the Office 2016 installation.

    If the above description of the problem is correct, for the situation you encountered we do apologize and the understand inconveniences caused.
    Please let us cooperate and please don't worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

    As far as I know you can install Office, Project and Visio on the same computer except the two products have the same version but use different installation technologies. Also, when the two products of different version use Click-to-Run, you can’t install them together Supported scenarios for installing different versions of Office, Project, and Visio on the same computer - Deploy Office | Microsoft Learn

    In relation to your issue, since Visio 2021 (MS GSA VISIO STD 2021 LTSC) uses Click-to-Run. We suggest you go to check if the Office 2016 uses the same installation technology as Visio 2021 (MS GSA VISIO STD 2021 LTSC).

    You may go to File, Account and check the information next to About Outlook, as shown below.

    If not, you may try to reinstall Office 2016 by using Click-to-Run installation technology.
