Cannot get past robot puzzle or sound challenge

I'm trying to sign up for Office365 with a new account, and I cannot get past the mouse and cheese captcha or the sound challenge captcha. When I get to the end of all the challenges, it says that I have proven that I am not a robot and I see the check mark, then it immediately takes me back to the captcha challenge screen again, where I have to start over. I've been trying to get through it for almost an hour. I've tried it both on a phone and on a PC Chrome browser. How do I get past this? And why would Microsoft make such a ridiculously difficult captcha challenge?

    My wife has the same issue. I see that Mavis never replied with a solution. It’s also interesting that you need to have a Microsoft account to post here that it is impossible to pass the I’m-not-a-robot test to establish an account…

    i have the same problem been trying for hours now it always says i have it wrong my dad and sister tried it to its just broken and the sound one where you have to say which one is the animal sound doest work to fix this **** bro

    Microsoft your a multi-billion dollar company for god's sake and fix this stupid issue. This is completely unacceptable and is a great way to push people away from using your products and services. I'm trying to create another account and cannot verify I'm a human. Still not working in January of 2023 and probably won't work in January of 2024...SMH
