How do I move/remove the writing to text pen from my pens?

A new pen began appearing in my row of pens. It converts handwriting to text and always shows up in the 1st position, pushing all my other pens to the right. The problem is one of the pens I use regularly for taking notes is scrolled off the screen. I either want to remove the handwriting-to-text pen (I don't use it) or at least move its position so the pens that I do use are all easily accessible.

That works for all the pens EXCEPT the writing to text pen. It was the 1st thing I tried. Attempting to move that one doesn't work either. It auto moves it back to the 1st position.

    Dear Scott,

We appreciate that you posted back again.

We’re sorry that we may not provide the right suggestions. We noticed that you are using OneNote for iPad.

We’d suggest you go to iPad settings > OneNote > click Reset OneNote > then you can turn on Clear all notebooks and clear credentials.

If the suggestion above doesn’t work, we’d suggest you try reinstalling OneNote to check if it will help.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Dear Scott,

We appreciate that you posted back and provide the information with us.

We noticed that you have tried the suggestion to remove this pen. However, this pen moved back to 1^st^ position.

If my understanding is right, for the situation you encountered, we want to confirm with you if you are using OneNote for windows 10.

If so, we’d suggest you go to Windows Settings > Apps > OneNote for Windows 10 > Advanced options > click Reset and repair, and it will help reset all setting in your OneNote for windows 10.

At the same time, we appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial reply may not resolve the situation very soon. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. Please kindly provide the requested information to let us work further.

    1. Could you provide the screenshot of the pen in your OneNote?
    2. May I know if you are using OneNote for Windows 10 or OneNote 2016?

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Dear Scott_gcm,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft forum.

If you select the pen you added, double-click on it so you can get the drop down, at the bottom there is an option to delete.

Please check if this works for you. We will look forward to your reply. Stay safe and stay healthy.

    Sincerely,
