Visio Edit Already Drawn Freeform Line - is this possible?

I'm using Visio - the desktop version. When I draw a freeform line and finish I find that I am unable to edit the points of that freeform line - and I must start over again by redrawing the freeform line. This is a serious pain. Is there any way to edit an already drawn freeform line in Visio? I hope so.

Sorry, some of the people trying to help do not know how to use Visio.

You definitely can edit a Free Form line created in Visio.

From the ribbon select the Tools menu and choose Pencil.

You can use the pencil to select the blue points and move them or delete them

Draw lines and shapes with the Pencil, Line, Arc, or Freeform tools (microsoft.com)

Oh, wow, what a nice surprise to find out I CAN edit freeform lines in VISIO. Yes, I tried this and was, indeed, able to edit an existing freeform line. Thank you for the tip!

I already visited the link you posted - before I posted here - and that link isn't for Visio.

In the desktop version of Visio there is no "Edit Points" when clicking

**Format tab --> Edit Shape --> Edit Points.**

    Dear Lexiphanes,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We’re happy to help you.

From your description, it seems that you want to edit the existing freeform line points, however, you cannot find the option.

If my understanding is right, according to our search, we can edit the points of freeform line, you can select the shape that you want to edit > On the Format tab, click Edit Shape, and then click Edit Points. For your reference: Draw or edit a freeform shape (microsoft.com)

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, to better understand your situation, could you provide the information below?

    1. Could you provide the product information and version of Visio? You can go to Visio > File > Account and provide the full screenshot of it.
    2. Could you provide the screenshot of freeform line you drew? Could you also provide the screenshot of Format tab when you select the freeform line?

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Sukie | Microsoft Community Moderator
