As per your description, please don’t worry, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

Office 365 A1 subscription has web version of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and Outlook. This plan does not include desktop version of Office apps and this is the reason you are unable to download Office apps from your Office 365 portal.

Office 365 A1 doesn’t contain the license “The latest desktop version of Office”, so you may not use Office 365 A1 to download Office For more details, you can refer to this article: Microsoft 365 Education.

To install and activate Office 365 desktop application, one’s subscription should include **The latest desktop version of Office (**please refer the screenshot below).
