Page numbers show on print preview but not when I print?

I have inserted page numbers at the bottom right of my document using Insert>Page number>Position: [bottom of page (footer] and Alignment: [Right}

The page numbers show up on my document on the computer. The page numbers show up on the document to be printed as I preview them just before I press print. However, no page numbers are printed when I actually print them.

How do I fix this?

    Ensure that the paper format is set correctly in Word. You also want to clear the option to automatically scale content (circled in the screen shot below) at File > Options > Advanced.

    If this doesn't help, try converting the document to PDF and then try printing the PDF (form Adobe Reader, for example).

    I am Md Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.

    If you don't see page numbers on the screen or in Print Preview, go to Document > Header and Footer > Options. Make sure the Show Header box is checked.

    If this is something you have tried then try to save the document to a PDF and print. It will print your page number as well.
