Tab within Cells in Excel

I want to use the text tab feature to align text from multiple lines. I have tried ctrl tab, alt tab, windows tab, tab button alone and nothing works. To further clarify, I am putting information on the line then want to tab to add temperature, and do the same with other lines within the same cell. The only solution I can think of is to type the text in Word and then copy and paste to excel. But is there a tab feature within cells in Excel?

Actually I don't want to indent .... I want it to look like this:

    A -- Refrigerator/Cooler storage area — recommended temperature                 32°F - 40°F

    B -- Freezer storage area — recommended temperature                                  -10°F - 0°F

    C -- Dry storage areas – recommended temperature                                       50°F - 70°F

I want to use a tab or set text at a certain spot that lines up. As a work around, I inserted a Text Box into the cell and pasted for text there, where the tab button works just fine. But it would be nice if the cell had the same features as a text box.

But thank you for your reply.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your question.

Tab in Excel makes you move to the next cell to your right. However, you can use the Alignment settings in excel to indent your text.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards, Yusuf

I'm sorry, Excel does not have such functionalities. It is nice to hear that you have found a work around.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    Thanks, Yusuf
