How do I get Publisher into my Mac pro laptop? I am a teacher and have many files in this format. How can it be included in the Office 365 digital format so I can access my resources, or is there another way?

You can install a PC version of Publisher on a Mac using Parallels.

As per Charles Kenyon, Reference: https://www.macoszon.com/open-publisher-files-on-mac/  and https://machow2.com/open-publisher-file-on-mac/

You can't edit a Pub file without Publisher and there is not a Mac version of Publisher. Your workarounds include:If you have Publisher you can Save As the *.pub file as a Word file though the formatting and layout will likely be skewed. If you only need to view the file on a Mac you could also convert to a PDF. Reference: http://www.zamzar.com/ Free online file conversion which will convert a .pub file to a .doc file or a PDF.

Alternatively, check out Affinity Publisher. This is the newest version of the old Serif DTP, and it is what I wish MSFT had done with Publisher. In your case the advantage is it will run on both PCs and Macs. They have a free trial and a relatively inexpensive purchase price.

    Dear Emma,

Good days, thanks for querying in this forum. We’re happy to help you.

From your description, it seems that you want to check Publisher files on Mac.

If my understanding above is right, we’re afraid that you cannot install Publisher on Mac, currently, Publisher only supports on windows.

For your reference: Microsoft 365 and Office Resources

We’re sorry that it doesn’t meet your requirement, we do understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.

At the same time, if it is convenient for you, we’d suggest you install Virtual machine on Mac, then you can install Publisher in Virtual machine, for example, you can choose to use Bootcamp.

If the scenario above is not consistent with yours, you can also post back and point that.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Sukie | Microsoft Community Moderator
