I cannot seem to get rid of a "right indent" in MS Word

Several months ago I opened a blank word document and my text would not go across the screen with Lt & RT margins at 1". In the center of the page in the ruler there was a small carat that indicated "right indent" Instructions said to go to top of Word to Paragraph box and go into Indent, Special and click "none". I have done that over and again and even set "as default" yet everytime I go into word the right indent is there and I have to manually slide it over to the right margin in order to type letters and documents.
Been using Word for 25 years...never had this happen to me and I'm going CRAZY...I can't get rid of the damned indent

If it is a right indent, then Special is not what you need to clear; rather, you need to set the right indent setting to zero. Or you could drag the indent marker to the right margin.

In the middle of the ruler in Word, right indent is there....I've tried all suggestions in Word "help" and nothing will remove the right indent. All was well with my MS Word for 6 years until 4 months ago when the right indent ended up in the middle of the rule in Word.

Please don't ask me "can we take a look"....don't want anyone in my computer just would like how to get rid of this thing.....I cannot type across the page !!@@!!!!!

I am not asking to look at your computer. I am suggesting that we can better help with this if we can see the problem file. The link I gave tells you how to clear any proprietary or confidential information and save a copy in a cloud location, then provide a link here.

As Suzanne said, setting the "Right" indent to zero should fix this.

Note that if your installation includes certain languages, such as Hebrew, you will see "After text" instead of "Right":
