Hello

On my Mac Mini M1, OS 12.5.1, when I open an Excel Online file, I noticed that bold chars are not correctly displayed; just see the difference when I open the exact same page/file on Safari:

    Hi

To send feedback to Microsoft about Edge, in the menu bar at the far right-hand edge, click the ellipsis (3 dots) and go to the bottom of the list. Help and Feedback is the last option (because it is the lowest priority). Choose Help and Feedback and then Send Feedback to alert Microsoft to this problem.

The trouble here is that Microsoft has to then notify Google of the problem and it is up to Google to fix it because Microsoft Edge is really Google Chrome with a Microsoft skin. That means Microsoft has to hope Google fixes this when they get around to it.

Hi Alexander, I'm using Edge on a daily basis and since my business is back from Google Sheet to Excel Online I had this issue. I'm the only one with Mac and my colleagues don't have issues with it: they are unable to reproduce it on their PC.

I have a workaround until Microsoft will fix this: change font. Using GungSuh font on mine did the trick but only on some cells.

Hope this will work for you too.

    Hi Alexander,

We appreciate your time for posting back, and sharing your ideas with community.

From your statement "That's why I think the issue regards Edge browser for Mac and not Excel online.", You are very right. The issue is with **** Edge browser for Mac. I also tested on Windows and it was working pretty fine.

You know, Excel Online/Excel for the web (formerly Excel Web App) simply means Microsoft Excel experience to the web browser, As long as you are accessing Excel in the browser, work with workbooks directly on the website where the workbook is stored. No matter using phone, tablet, Mac, Windows. I am sure you know this.

Customers like you have really helped Microsoft to improve its feature products and services. Thanks once again for spotting this!

We further appreciate you for taking an extra step to send your feedback to the Developers Team. I am sure they will fix this as soon as possible. This will also help other community members who have experienced the same issue.

You are always welcome to this community to post your questions or raise any suggestions. I hope you have a great day!

    With Sincerest Regards,

    Dear Edwine,

    thank you for your reply.

To be honest, I am unsure the issue regards Excel online: character formatting is viewed correctly on all other browsers, including the same Microsoft Edge but on Windows. That's why I think the issue regards Edge browser for Mac and not Excel online.

However, I'll follow your suggestion to report a feedback on Excel Community.

    Regards,

    /alex
