How do I keep word online in lightmode?

The browser based word keeps switching to dark mode whenever i open a document. I want to keep word (and all of the microsoft apps) in light mode. How do i do this? Excel doesn't automatically change and i have not checked other apps.

     It seems only Word online open dark mode in a browser. Please try to click on View tab> and unselect the "Dark mode" to check the outcomes.

    My issue isn't turning off dark mode, it's that word online keeps opening in dark mode. I want it to open in light mode only

    Does your web browser have dark mode? In that case, you probably have to turn it off in the browser.
