My account is temporarily suspended and no idea what could have caused this

Hello,

Never posted something here. But for 6 weeks now I've been trying to regain access to my account. My account is suddenly "temporarily" suspended and I don't have a clue what could have caused. I barely used Onedrive, no pictures there, hardly play games on my Xbox - last time was more then half a year ago and I've never send any email with harmful texts or anything. One thing that gets to mind is I've set my Veeam backup to send me notifications once a day (two emails) with the backup status. But this was no problem for a couple of weeks, so I don't think this could have caused this.

I've send in more then 5 forms to try and regain access to my account on aka.ms/compliancelock, but no luck. Been chatting a couple of times with Microsoft employees but they're not allowed to unlock my account and no possibilities to send my case to anybody that can help.

This is the last time I've used Microsoft for hosting my mail and or data. I don't have access to my appointments, email and games library and I don't even know why. I've lost all hope of ever regaining access to my inbox. I know posting this won't help me anything, but just wanted to warn others and write down my own frustrations. I've been selling Microsoft365 to many, many customers when I worked as an IT manager, but I don't recommend anyone using any Microsoft product from now on. Not like they care, but still.

For suspended accounts this is the form you should be using:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/concern/AccountReinstatement?SilentAuth=1&wa=wsignin1.0

Successful completion of this form doesn't mean your account will be reinstated, however.

Thank you. Still no reaction. Starting to lose all hope to ever get my account recovered. The email I got was from: ******@css.one.microsoft.com. So, this seems legit and no scammer.

Replied to that email with all the information they asked for, but still no access to my account. With your link https://account.live.com/acsr I was able to verify my account and reset the password. But after putting in the new password I still get the account suspended feedback.

I've used the aka.ms/compliancelock a couple of times and this was what caused me getting an email from Microsoft (I think) from above emailadress, but still no luck.

Think I will just cut my losses and try to avoid as many Microsoft products as possible.

A little update from my end. I got an email from a Microsoft employee, even two of the same by now, where I've been asked to send in a lot of information about my account in a Word-document, like last sent emails, contact in my Outlook, credit-card number, Xbox-live id, etc.

I've send all of the information and this was a week ago, still no reply. Still hoping to get access to my account soon. It's getting kinda annoying not to be able to get into my emails, appointments, Xbox etc.

Strangest thing is that I can verify my account with Automatic account recovery and even able to change my password, but still unable to login afterwards. Still suspended.

Thanks again for all your advice. I tried to go the route you described in your post. I was able to reset my password, but I still get a notification that my account is suspended. Starting to lose all hope to get my account back.
