Accessing the new Automate feature in Excel

Today I received a notice (see URL below) from techcommunity.microsoft.com introducing a new Automate feature in Excel and providing a screenshot to the new “Automate” tab between “View” and “Help” tabs on the uppermost command line.  I could not pursue this further because the Automate Tab does not appear in my Excel at all.  I contacted Microsoft Support and a very helpful assistant named Kirti let me through a fix process starting with Quick Assist so that Kirti to access my screen.  This did not work after trying two access codes, so Kirti directed me to open Excel and go to File/Account and download updates which I did.  At the end of downloading the updates, the system instructed me to close Excel and then reopen it, which I did, but unfortunately the Automate tab still did not appear.  Kirti then asked me to send this message to you. I hope it helps correct the problem as Automate could be useful to me.
