Powerpoint title is being displayed instead of file name by default

RE the above issue. We have a large group of people who send out multiple documents daily and don't want to be making this adjustment manually every time. Is it possible to configure PowerPoint to not display or save the title by default? Or alternately if PowerPoint could save the title as the file name automatically?

For sure! It can be set to the same or even cleared out manually each time the power point is saved. Is there a way that we can get PowerPoint to automatically save the title as empty or the same as the file name?

The same applies to the "Recent Files" list. There, the Title is used to show which files I accessed yesterday or last week, but I'm really more interested in the filename. Often the Title is the name of some template that was used, because nobody bothered to update the Title.

    Dear respected Elijah Tesch,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, I understand when you save a PowerPoint document to PDF, the default title is the PowerPoint Presentation, and you want to change the default setting so that it is the file name.

I'm afraid you may do is when you're saving the presentation, or doing a Save As, you can set the Title property in the Save dialog box.

Appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Waqas Muhammad
