Dears,

I'm struggling with an issue which I'm not able to solve.

I was able to create a dynamic gantt chart in excel using start and end dates.

However, I would like to create a more generic templates which includes generic days and weeks just to evaluate the overall effort.

I was looking for somthing with dynamic bars like a standard gantt but just wihout dates.

My intention was to specify the effor related to each specific task (like 8 days with a 5-days working week).

Could you kindly help me? Is there a way to create this kind of template?

Thank you

Kind regards

Giacomo

How is everything going now? Have you tried the steps?
You can also give feedback on it.

The formula should paste in cell D1 and Cell D4.

    Copy D1 fromula to D1:AG1

    Copy D4 fromula to D4:AG7

    Hi GiacomonIN,

Greetings! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

You can set it from Conditional Formatting > Data Bar >Fromat all cells based on their values. And set min to 0, max to 1.

If not this situation, share some dummy data and expected result.

    Best Regards,

    Snow Lu

Thanks a lot for your kind help!

Actually I was looking for something like this:

    wk1 wk2 wk3 wk4 wk5 wk6 wk7
    Task list effort start
    task 1 3 days wk1 xxx
task 2 3 wks wk2 xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx
task 3 4 wks wk1 xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx
    task 4 8 days wk4 xxxxx xxx

Basically, for each task you can define the effor in weeks or days and specify the starting week.

Then if possible i'm looking for a dynamic chart which shows coloured bars based on the inputs. In the example I've reported weeks but I would like to specify also days inside each week (for each week there are D1, D2, D3, D4, D5 working days). This because if a task takes partially the week, then I can better visualize the days taken to complete the activity. for semplicity, I've indicated working days with "x" but I would prefer to associate each week to 5 cells.

Does it make sense? Do you think this could be possible?

    Thank you!
