Flagged Emails adding to My Day automatically in Microsoft To Do

I want to be able to have my flagged emails within my Microsoft To Do list, but whenever I add them, the system automatically adds all of them to My Day. This is definitely not a behavior I want, as I want to be able to tailor My Day to the essential items that need to be completed. I have not been able to figure out how to stop this behavior.

Note: I cannot access the Microsoft To Do desktop app because it is not currently compatible with my work account.

The behavior I observed appears to have been rectified by a new setting that allows you to choose whether or not to have tasks due today automatically included in "My Day". This became available in the version that I have access to the day after I made my post. Toggling off allows me to manually manage "My Day".

    Narglesy,

    Thanks for giving us feedback.

Yes, l found out this button in my setting list now, too. It exactly not exists before I give you first reply. But now it's good for us, especially for you that don't want due today task display in My Day list.

Meanwhile, l found one article to help us understand why this button appears. My Day in Microsoft To Do  In this article, we can know that Microsoft To Do supports auto population of tasks due today in My Day list, which is a new feature. With this new feature, your tasks will automatically appear in My Day on their due dates. That's make sense a button appears that can automatically turn it off.

Thanks for your feedback again so that many people can know the new feature about Microsoft products. Have a good day!

    Sincerely,

    Dear Narglesy,

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community.

When we flag one email, Outlook will set Today as the Start date and Due date by default. That's why you found out the flagged email appear in Flagged Email and My Day at the same time in Microsoft To Do.

If you check the flagged email in your My Day, you will find the date of them is Today.

If you choose other date such as Tomorrow, the flagged email will only appear in Flagged Email.

Thus, l sincerely suggest you choose other date when you flag one email. You can also select Custom to create a Start date and Due date that doesn’t appear on the list.

Hope above information may help you.

    Have a good day!

    Sincerely,

    Tammy | Microsoft Community Moderator.
