Is it possible to turn off line jumps for certain lines in Microsoft Visio?

I started working with Microsoft Visio this week, and it's been very informative so far. But i've got one question regarding the line jumps. Is there a possibility to turn on / off the line jumps for certain lines? Most of the times the jumps work well, but sometimes they cause confusion. I know there is the general on / off setting, but that turns it off for every line.

I have little to no experience with Visio so far, so i figured i'd ask. Any answers would be appreciated! Much thanks.

This may be a late reply, but since I had the same question, this may help someone in the future.

At least for visio version 2208 it is definitely possible to customize line jump behavior for individual lines. And this quite easily:

Simply select a line, then open the menu "Behavior" in the developer tab. (Should you not see a developer tab, it can be enabled in the Visio Options --> Customize Ribbon --> set check mark for "Developer")

In the "Behavior" menu, select the tab "connector" and here, under "line jumps" you can select different behavior options for the line you have selected.

I found this information in the section "remarks" of documentation John Visio MVP linked: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/client-developer/visio/conlinejumpcode-cell-shape-layout-section#remarks

    That is an interesting question.

It is possible to turn off the line jumps for specific lines.

Normally you set the line jump behaviour at the page level and a section (Shape Layout Section) in the shape controls the line jump behaviour. This may require some developer magic with the shapesheet (the internal structure that controls a shapes behaviour).

The shapsheet cell in question is ConLineJumpCode Cell (Shape Layout Section) | Microsoft Learn

This is probably best done as a blog, so I will try and write one this weekend and create a connection shape that uses right click behaviour (suggested by the Visio master JG) to control the jump so regular Visio users can use it without having to know the insides of the shapesheet.

    Dear Nathan,

Good day! Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Per your description, you want to turn off line jumps for certain lines in Microsoft Visio.

Based on my research and test, turn off line jumps for certain lines in Visio is not available now.

Given this situation, we suggest you can raise this idea on Visio UserVoice at your convenience which it can let the related product team aware this limitation and improve it in the future. Your feedback helps us know which features are most important to you.

Your understanding will be highly appreciated.

    Sincerely,
