How Do I Get Rid of the Red Lines on my final version of my Word Document?

    You can simply turn them off by choosing File>Options>Proofing and unchecking the option Check spelling as you type. Or you can select the words that have red wavy underlines and either:

    • right-click on the word and choose Add to Dictionary, or
    • choose Review>Language>Set Proofing Language and check the option Do not check spelling or grammar.

    The last step is the only one that will travel with the document, in case this is a file you will be sending elsewhere.

    The last step is the only one that will travel with the document, in case this is a file you will be sending elsewhere.

    That is not true; these options (File | Options | Proofing) are document-specific and travel with the document:
