I cannot leave a family group as an organizer although there are two other organizers.

I am an organizer of a family group (with two other organizers). I am trying to leave the group, but cannot do so. When I click on leave family group, I get the following message:

Are you sure you want to remove yourself? If you remove yourself, you'll no longer be able to manage your family group or see its activity. You will lose access to all Family Safety features.

At the end of that message I click "Remove." On the next screen I get the following message:

You'll need to remove consent first Underneath the options menu for your family member, select "Manage consent", then select "Remove consent" for this family member's account. Then, try to remove yourself from your family group again.

At the end of that message are two boxes: "Remove" (which is greyed out and cannot be selected) and "Cancel" (which is the only option. There are two problems with this. First, why do I need consent if I am an organizer? There are two other organizers in the group, so my leaving does not leave the group without an organizer. Second, even if there was some reason why I would need consent, there is no "Manage consent" option anywhere for me to select.

I have also asked the other organizers to remove me, and they get the same message.

I previously did that (details in my prior post). That is not working. Specifically, on step 3 "Select Remove to confirm" I am getting the message outlined in my prior post, with no way to move forward.

    Hello,

Greetings for the day! I’m an, Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you and I'm glad to provide you information regarding your scenario.

There are several different ways for family members and organizers to leave or be removed from a Microsoft family group depending on their role.

Before leaving, family members and organizers should remove saved places and location alerts they would not like to remain in the group. Location alerts must be removed by the individual who set them for saved places to be deleted. Leaving or being removed from a family group will not delete Microsoft accounts.

Please find the details in below link to remove saved places and alerts. https://support.microsoft.com/topic/97c31393-3863-6cf1-a290-950f89549fdc

Once this is done, to remove yourself from a family group, follow below steps,

    1. Using a web browser, sign in to family.microsoft.com.
    2. Click next to your name and select Leave family group.
    3. Select Remove to confirm.

Hope this information would be useful to you. Please feel free to get back if you need any additional info.
