SharePoint Hero Web part shading

Hello,

I'm experiencing the below with the Hero web part shading, and I just can't get around it! You will see the top left shading is very dark in comparison to the rest of the tiles. The images are all the same, no shading, as soon as I toggle on show title in layout on the top left tile it goes dark. I have switched around the tiles, and whatever image is in the top left becomes a lot darker in comparison to the others.

Toggle off show title in layout

I have had this with the 5 tile too, again the 2 top left are always darker than the rest of the tiles! Has anyone else experienced this and found a way around it? Thank you.

Dear The_Squaregg,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

From your description, it seems like the hero web part in SharePoint start shading when you toggle on "show title"in layout.

If my understanding is right, we've also done some test on our side, and we can reproduce the same scenario in different tenants. It starts shading in hero web part when we choose Tiles layout and toggle on show title.

We'd recommend you choose Layers layout as a workaround, pictures seem to be shown as expected.

Personally, I completely agree with you, this is indeed a good addition to the current experience of Hero web part. It would be definitely ideal if we could remove the shading. I sincerely recommend you create a feedback in SharePoint Feedback Community, and vote for this similar idea: Display of images in hero web parts · Community (microsoft.com)

Our Product Team is in-charge of the feedback site, and they are constantly checking the comments and feedback from our customer. Many features have been developed or improved based on users' comment.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

This isn't really an issue for "feedback" - it's obviously a bug that the engineers here should report themselves and get fixed.
