So there are two different buttons. one is turn off recurring billing and the other one is Cancel subscription. But when I see the following three websites

https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-cancel-office-365-4693737

https://www.groovypost.com/howto/cancel-your-microsoft-365-subscription/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuh_7t8N7cU

In these three website they clicked "Cancel subscription" button and it will directs to Turn off recurring billing page??? So whats the difference between "Turn off recurring billing" button and " Cancel subscription" button"

I tried myself when I clicked turn off recurring billing I get to the below page

And when I click " Cancel subscription " button I get the below page

So at the end there are the two buttons " I don't want my subscription" and " I want to keep my benefits" after clicking "Turning off recurring billing" button or " Cancel subscription" button. So these two buttons seem to be the same???????

Also I keep seeing people saying we can get refund within 30 days of purchase but I can not find offical support link saying the 30 days thing. Can someone provide me the link of Microsoft support page that talks about getting refund within 30 days?

    Hello

I am Abdal and I would be glad to help you with your question.

Turning off recurring billing for the subscription prevents you from renewing your subscription once the subscription is over.

If this option is turned on then your subscription will automatically gets renewed after the current subscription is over and your card will be debited automatically.

You can refer the below article for more information https://support.microsoft.com/office/c7c0bc32-9744-4acf-9818-815d5c96cc59

While if you cancel subscription then it will immediately cancel your subscription and you then cannot use any of the subscription features.

You can also refer the below article to know more about cancelling of your subscription https://support.microsoft.com/office/46e2634c-c64b-4c65-94b9-2cc9c960e91b

Yes if the subscription is cancelled within 30 days of purchase then you are eligible to get the refund. The refund is credited within 3-5 business days.

If you are facing any issue while cancelling your subscription then you need to contact live Microsoft Agent through below link who could cancel your subscription from their end and if you are eligible then you'll get the refund. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/home/contact

    I hope this information helps.

    Regards,

    Abdal

You say "While if you cancel subscription then it will immediately cancel your subscription and you then cannot use any of the subscription features." but do you see what I asked in the question? The two links and the youtube and my pictures showed that clicking "cancel subscription" ends up turning off recurring billing??? So I guess after clicking "cancel subscription", the subscription will lasts until it expires. So whats different between "turning off the recurring billing" and "cancel subscription"?

Do you have a support.microsoft.com link that talks about "the subscription is cancelled within 30 days of purchase then you are eligible to get the refund" this?

    I only found this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/cancel-your-free-trial-of-microsoft-365-family-6334375a-a4ac-4047-9d6c-26c278a79a4e

but it is talking about free trial of office 365
