I'm trying to get the data analysis tool back into my excel sheet. I've added it before but for some reason it won't come back. I tried adding in the analysis add-in (Might I add I tried both) and nothing happens. It just adds analyze data, but I need data analysis. I checked for updates and restarted my computer, but I can't figure out what's going on.

    Dear LillianBez,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Data Analysis will be available by enabling the Analysis ToolPak add-in in the Excel application and Analysis ToolPak add-in is a default add-in the Excel app, where enabling it will make Data Analysis available in the Data tab of the Excel app:

So, I would like to suggest you to see whether the Analysis ToolPak add-in is enabled in the Excel app. If yes, please disable and re-enable it to see the outcome.

Open the Excel app> Options> Add-ins> Excel Add-ins> Click on Go

If still the same problem persists, please check whether the Excel app is up to date? Open the Excel app> Account> Update Options> Update Now.

If it's updated and still have the same issue, please perform Online Repair to the Office apps and check the outcome. Reference: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support

Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

    Sincerely,

    Mia | Microsoft Community Moderator
