Unlike Excel, Word does not have a way to use a decimal separator different from the system settings.

I want to change the decimal symbol in Word and only in Word to comma instead of dot. I know we can change the decimal symbol of the whole system, and Word will adapt it. However, changing the system decimal symbol messes up a lot of other programs, from my experience. In Excel we can set the decimal symbol different from the system, but I couldn't find the similar setting in Word. Is there any way or am I having to wait another decade for Microsoft to fix this?
For those who ask what's the point, why don't just use Replace to change dot to comma, the answer is it's for the decimal tab.

There isn't a Word option to do what you want. You could set up a new user account on your computer, set that account to use decimal commas, then do the editing in that user account.
