Mac OSx

Powerpoint 16.66.1

Can't get the Replace fonts option to work with certain fonts. Have looked through support pages, done searches and can't find a solution that works.

There seem to be some workarounds with Windows, but alas, I am on OSx.

Please can anyone assist with this.

Here is the presentation with Helevetica Neue and Lucida Grande removed:

Thanks for that info. I though it was a file format that appeared as an option when saving a PPT file. Edit XML files may be a little beyond my skillset :(

No need to save as an XML file ... PPTX files *are* XML files. Or more accurately, ZIP files that contain a welter of smaller XML files and other bits that define the presentation.

    Hi John,

Thanks for the advice and help on this.

Not an easy fix on a Mac and there is no option to save as XML file.

Tried actually deleting slides in sections trying to find that instance of a bullet that had font set to it. However this did not work for Helvetica Neue in it various weights. I got to the point I had deleted every slide, every master slide, and all remaining text boxes. This helped find which slide had the instance of Lucida Grande on it. However, even with everything deleted... all slides, all master slides, all text boxes on last master slide you cant delete – Helvetica Neue was still there and not letting me save and embedded fonts PPT file without error messages.

Would really appreciate of you could help on this as I am stumped.

Usually, if the Replace Fonts utility (Edit>Find>Replace Fonts) can't replace a font, it's because that font has been used to format bullets. Unfortunately, there's no easy fix in macOS. You can check every bullet format on every slide layout manually, or you can edit the underlying XML (not for the faint of heart) with a text editor.

If you can upload the file to a cloud service, then post a share link here, I can fix it for you.

You should also click on the "person with speech bubble" icon in the upper right corner of the program window and choose I Don't Like Something. Describe the problem. Submitting sends the report to the Mac programming team. They are unlikely to reply.
