Hi,
I'm Sneha and I'd be happy to help you out with your question. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
If you have lots of pictures in an Excel file that are embedded and you're unable to auto save due to their status, there is a solution to remove the embedded object status without having to remove the pictures themselves.
To do this, you can use a series of steps that will help you select all the embedded objects in the worksheet and remove the status. Once you've completed this, you can then paste the objects back into their original cells.
Here are the steps:
- Select all the cells in the worksheet by pressing "Ctrl + A".
- Click on the "Find & Select" button in the "Editing" group of the "Home" tab and select "Go To Special".
- In the "Go To Special" dialog box, select "Objects" and click "OK".
- Right-click on any of the selected objects and choose "Cut" from the context menu.
- Press "Ctrl + H" to open the "Find and Replace" dialog box.
- In the "Find what" field, type "=EMBED("")".
- Leave the "Replace with" field blank.
- Click "Replace All" to remove the embedded object status from all the selected objects.
- Press "Ctrl + V" to paste the objects back into their original cells.
Once you've completed these steps, you should be able to save your Excel file without any issues.
