OneDrive is stuck with message "Perparing to upload"

For at least two weeks now OneDrive has been stuck showing the message "Preparing to upload". I've restarted my computer. Paused and restarted syncing. I had a directory with some Linux files named "Development" which contained symbolic links and such which I thought was causing the problem, so I moved that folder out of the OneDrive. But the problem persists.

Are there any logs I can look at to see what files OneDrive is chocking on? What else can I do?

Thanks, that version of OneDrive installed without issues. Unlike the version at the MS store!

Glad to hear that. I hope you can get everything uploaded.

I would try uninstalling OneDrive with something like Revo Uninstaller Free. Do the Advanced scanning mode to remove all left-over files of OneDrive. Then try installing OneDrive again.

    Download OneDrive from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/download

I installed OneDrive from The Microsoft store. When I ran it I got the message below indicating that "We don't support this app anymore". Are you kidding me? They only have a browser based version now, that doesn't support File Explorer or integrate with a file manager?

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply and performing steps.

Please Uninstall OneDrive App from Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and features

    Reboot your Computer

Cleanup or Move that effect file to different folder.

Install latest version of OneDrive app and Link your account -> Then try to Sync.

    Best Regards, Prakash
