I have a 3 separate charges on my bank account for $11.95, $14.95, (Nov 17th) & $14.95 (Nov 18th) stating "Microsoft*Store msbill.info". I did have a WPS subscription recurring on 21st of December for $44.95 (just cancelled now) but this does not account for the amounts deducted, nor the dates which they were deducted on. My Microsoft account does not have any other subscriptions or recurring payments. Can you help please? I am worried that I've been hacked...

**Please note**

I have no idea which product, apps, versions, or topics are relevant for my problem

Apologies in advance but i can't proceed without selecting something!!

    UPDATE 2nd March 2023

The charges were from a third party scammer who was using both Microsoft's name and logo.

Our bank cancel our credit cards and issued new ones as the above card had been compromised.

Because we saw the unauthorized transactions within days of them occurring, our bank refunded the amounts.

Our bank informed us that these scammers take small amounts to test our observance, and then increase the amounts.

I have seen cases where people have had their life's savings stolen and the banks have not honored the theft.

    Lesson learned...

Activate 2FA (2nd Factor Authentication) on your bank accounts.

A small inconvenience for what could become a much larger problem.

    I hope this post helps

I likewise had a plethora of 'Microsoft Msbill.Info' transactions hit my account yesterday (10 Jan, 2023). Less than $1k in total and all random amounts like $44.95, $29.95, $7.45, $1.45 etc.

I called my bank (on hold for 1.5hrs) and while on the phone I could see the transactions happening before my eyes. I froze the account and transferred remaining funds to another account. Am now in the process of getting a new card, redirection direct-debits etc.

Pretty annoying and the bank is investigating. Given this has happened to many people, does Microsoft have a strategy to help the banks here?

    Regards, Milton...

I, too, have had unauthorized charges stating from Microsoft*Store msbill.info show up on my bank account.

Duplicate charges with a separate international fee on same day.

    First two for $1.00 +.03 on 12/27/22 then again on 1/24/23 both for 6.99 + .21.

I do not have any subscriptions as my Microsoft acct is through my employer. I did double check that account and there were no subscriptions listed and no payment method attached.

I called my bank and disputed the charges as fraudulent and ordered a new card. Bank stated investigation could take 90 days.

Another note. My employer was charged $116 on his credit card for a Microsoft subscription. Again, checked the account and just the normal subscription amount shows on transaction page. Called Microsoft customer service to inquire about this new charge. Their customer service associate asked for the order number which did not match their number pattern. They recommended disputing it with the bank.

If this is not Microsoft, someone is clearly using their company name. Hope they make customers and banks alike aware of this issue.

I wonder how many people have had this happen and just haven't noticed.

Same thing has been happening to me. Started in Feb 2022 when I started a free trial with microsoft for my business. I cancelled however started to get billed. When I inquire with Microsoft they tell me I have no subscriptions with them. When I contact the bank they tell me its from Microsoft. Its virtually impossible to resolve or have Microsoft take any responsibility because as you noted its impossible to proceed without selecting something!

You check Services, Subs and Billing on the MS Account

       https://office.com/myaccount

If this was me, and nothing showed on my MS Account I would simply call the bank and state it's an unauthorised transaction. But I guess you don't have that option where you are.
