Thanks to whoever made it soooo hard to find the document I just wrote, now I've just lost $1000 deal because I can't find where is my document saved.

It says it is saved in my "one drive>document" folder but IT DOES NOT EVEN EXIST IN THAT FOLDER.

Could someone please help me as I really frustrated right now I hope something like this wouldn't happen again.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | Windows

    Hi,

I am Amit, an Independent Advisor on Microsoft Support Community. For your security, please do not provide sensitive information such as product keys, passwords, email addresses and credit card information in this conversation.

I am sorry about the issue and how it has impacted you personally, I will try and help you.

    • I am guessing you wrote the document in MS Word, if that is correct then when you launch MS Word, the documents show in the ‘Recent’ section and the path to the file shows below that.

You can use the following link to help recover the file: https://learn.microsoft.com/office/troubleshoot/word/recover-lost-unsaved-corrupted-document

Let me know if this works for you. All the best!

    Kind regards, Amit

Your screen shot is of your user Documents folder, not OneDrive.

If you have the OneDrive program installed, a synced copy of your files will be at C:\Users\YourActualUserName\OneDrive. It sounds like inside that folder, you have a subfolder called documents., try looking in there.

If you don't have the OneDrive app installed, open your web browser to OneDrive.com. Once you're signed in, you'll see you online document store. Look for a folder called documents and check for your file in there.
