how do i change word table of contents order from page no....chapter to chapter.....page no?

in word i have added a table of contents by using the auto content , in doing so it does" page number.........chapter heading" most do " chapter heading......page no" I have tried to customize to no avail and spoke to customer service but this is out of their league and refered me here. can you tell me how to change this?

    One possible reading of your question tells me you may be using a right-to-left language setting.

    If so, see if you can change that for the area that holds your Table of Contents.
