Hi,

I have disabled auto correct and auto capitalization on my keyboard, but PowerPoint for Android (office APP) is still automatically capitalizing. How can I turn it off?

Two possibilities that I can think of:

    1. The font in use is a font that only includes capital letters. Try a different font.
    2. If this is happening with text/content placeholders but NOT with regular text boxes or text in shapes like rectangles and such, it's because the placeholder formatting is set to all caps. Are you able to open the presentation on a desktop version of PPT? I don't think you can correct this on Android/iOS.

    Dear Carolina Jud,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, it seems that you are trying to disable auto correct and auto capitalization in PowerPoint for Android.

If the understanding above is right, as the per the search and test on our side, we're afraid that there's no out of box way to achieve this in PowerPoint Android app currently. You may need to change the language or keyboard settings on your device as a workaround.Steps for turning off autocorrect for Android tablets and phones vary depending on which device you're using.

Given this, we sincerely recommend sharing your valuable feedback by selecting your profile picture in the top left and then choose Send Feedback within PowerPoint Android app. Feedback submit by this way directly goes to the related team, this is the best way to let PowerPoint developers know your requirements and comments, help improve the product and make it better for you and others.

    Hi,

It's not a capital only font. powerpoint is automatically capitalizing the first letter of sentences at a time when I don't want it to.

    Hi Rhoda,

    You said this:

"You may need to change the language or keyboard settings on your device as a workaround. Steps for turning off autocorrect for Android tablets and phones vary depending on which device you're using."

But I mentioned in my original post that I already did that, and it did not solve my problem. PowerPoint irremovably forces the AutoCorrect feature upon its users, is that correct?
