How do I use my Office 2013 key to load onto my new PC? I removed MS Office from my old PC but it doesn't want to load onto my new PC. I do have the product key from the box that came with the Office 2013 when I purchased it in 2013.

Instructions for installing the M/S 2013 only refers to 365 Office 2013. Is m/s Office 2013 the same thing as MS 365 Office 2013? Am using Edge browser. I do NOT want MS 365 Office. Please HELP.

Hi Luna, unless your Office 2013 came on CD you cannot use the Product Key to reinstall your Office on your new PC. Rather you sign into Services & Subscriptions of your Microsoft Account. Here is a direct link>https://account.microsoft.com/services  You need to sign in with the same Microsoft Account that you used with the Product Key to setup Office for the first time. Please note that Microsoft no longer supports Office 2013, so you need o be very careful as you will have no security updates.

You can access Services & Subscriptions from this website> Go to the top right hand side of this page>Click on your name/avatar>My Microsoft Account (you may need to sign in again)

PS: I suggest that when you have both computers turned and online when you transfer your Office to the new computer, so that Microsoft can see you have uninstalled Office from your old computer. This may mean that you will not have activation problems, hopefully.

    Hello,

I am sorry about the challenge you are facing, but I have to inform you that this is a user forum and not Microsoft directly. We here are users like you helping one another. Even though the forum is hosted by Microsoft, it is moderated by users like you and me.

Migration of Office normally requires the aid of Microsoft Support to do. Most of the time it is something you cannot do yourself, especially when you run into issues like you have now.

The other thing that I am sorry to inform you is that Office 2013 has reached it's end-of-support. What that means is that, Microsoft Support will not be able to assist in this migration.

I am once again sorry to say that if you want to use office on this new device, you will need to either purchase the new Office 2021 (one-time payment) or purchase the subscription based Office 365. You will not be able to migrate the Office 2013 because of the end-of-support.

If you want a one-time payment option, Office 2021 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/p/office-home-business-2021/cfq7ttc0hpn4?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

    If you want subscription-based Office 365 https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/p/microsoft-365-personal/cfq7ttc0k5bf?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

If you want to know the difference between the two before choosing, please refer to the link below. https://support.office.com/article/ed447ebf-6060-46f9-9e90-a239bd27eb96

If you want to try Office 365 trial for a month before you decide: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/try

    I kindly await a reply for a follow-up

    Best Regards Fuad
