In Word, click the ¶ icon on the Home tab to display nonprinting marks. Are you saying that pressing Enter adds a line break () rather than a paragraph mark (¶)?

    Hi Arnoldo S!

I am Shakiru, an independent advisor and a user like you, and I am glad to be helping you out today.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the keyboard keys.

I'm sorry, does this occur only in the MS Word app or on all the apps?

    please do this:

    * Check for stuck keys and also try using onscreen or another keyboard: It's possible that one or more keys on your keyboard are stuck or not functioning properly. Press each key on your keyboard individually and see if any keys are not working as they should. If you find a stuck key, try cleaning the keyboard or replacing it.

    * Check your keyboard settings: Sometimes the keyboard settings may have been changed unintentionally. Go to the Control Panel > Keyboard settings and make sure that the correct language and keyboard layout are selected.

    * In Word, Reset Word preferences: Close Word and press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box. Type "winword /a" (without quotes) and press Enter to open Word in Safe Mode. Try typing the Enter key in a new document. If the issue goes away, then the problem may be due to a corrupted preference file. To reset Word preferences, go to File > Options > General > click "Customize Ribbon" > click "Reset" > click "OK".

Kindly let me know, if you require additional assistance, I will be glad to help further.

    Best Regards, Shakiru
