Can I add different envelope sizes to my printing choices in Microsoft 365 Word for my Mac?

I use A2 (4 3/8" X 5 3/4") and A7 (5 1/4" x 7 1/4") envelopes all the time. They are not a choice when printing in Word (Microsoft 365 for Apple) either in a mail merge or just printing on my HP 8600 printer. I tried making a custom-size envelope, but haven't been successful in printing in a mail merge or just printing one. Any suggestions?

Custom sizes depend in part on your printer driver being able to handle custom sizes. Not all can do it. For help with your printer driver, you'll have to query HP Support. This reply doesn't cover the steps to set that up.

Assuming your printer driver can use it, here's how to create a custom page size in macOS Ventura:

    1. In Word, choose File>Page Setup.
    2. Change the Paper Size dropdown to Manage Custom Sizes.
    3. In the dialog that opens, click on the plus sign to create a new custom page size. Double-click on the Untitled name and change it to A2 or A7.
    4. In the Width and Height fields, enter the page sizes. Printer drivers always assume portrait page orientation, which is counter-intuitive for an envelope. Enter the smaller dimension in Width, the longer in in Height.
    5. Enter the minimum margins your printer model can print.
    6. Click on OK.
    7. Back in the Page Setup dialog, your custom size should be selected in the Page Size dialog. Change Orientation to Landscape. Click on OK. Word sets the page size to your custom size.

Assuming you can create the same size in your printer driver, you should be ready to go.

    Hello LubbockJude,

Yes, you can add custom envelope sizes to your printing choices in Microsoft 365 Word for Mac. To create a custom envelope size in Word, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Mailings tab.
    2. In the Create group, select Envelopes.

    1. In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, go to the Envelopes tab, then enter a Delivery address and a Return address.

    1. To change the size of the envelope, go to the Envelope Options tab, select the Envelope size drop-down arrow, and choose a custom size.

If you're still having trouble printing your custom-size envelopes in a mail merge or just printing one, you may want to check your printer settings and make sure that your printer is set up correctly for printing envelopes.

    Best Regards,

    Fathia

The simplest method is to create one or more templates, save them, and use your custom templates.
